Established in 1990 the North West Housing Partnership(NWHP) is dedicated to creating and implementing programs to promote economically diverse housing.


Through a fiscally responsible and multi-faceted approach North West Housing Partnership​promotes public and private partnerships that create and preserve cost-effective quality housing for low to moderate income residents and workers through housing development and renovation, education and advocacy.

Programs For Homeowners and New Home Buyers

For further information on each Program click on the title and/or contact Michelle Hill for an application. Each program has specific income qualifications and guidelines.


**OWNER-OCCUPIED SINGLE FAMILY REHABILITATION**

This Program helps homeowners correct code violations and address long overdue repairs that affect the health and safety of residents and their families. This program is in cooperation with the communities of Des Plaines,

Hoffman Estates and Schaumburg.


**HOME-BUYER REHABILITATION PROGRAM**

This Program is for people ready to purchase a new home that needs repairs and also a small amount of down payment assistance. It is for residents of DuPage, Kane and McHenry Counties.


**NORTH WEST HOUSING (NWHP) SINGLE FAMILY REHAB PROGRAM**

NWHP acquires homes in BELLWOOD, MAYWOOD, BERWYN, FOREST PARK and OAK PARK to rehab and then sell affordably to qualified homebuyers. See the HOMES FOR SALE section for homes that are for sale or will be soon.


**PREDATORY LENDING EDUCATION**

This Program is geared toward professional financial education for counselors and real estate brokers and bankers.


**AFFORDABLE RENTAL HOUSING FOR SENIORS 55 PLUS**

NWHP has developed in partnership with several developers, affordable and market rate rental housing in several communities in the North West suburbs of Chicago. Go to the AFFORDABLE tab for additional information on past,

**HANDYMAN  PROGRAM **

 NWHP has a "Handyman Program" for those who are 65 years and older and people with disabilities who are 18 or over and in need of simple repairs to their home. Starting in the Spring of 2015 there will also be a home modification program for the same people. Restrictions apply. Please click onPROGRAMS tab for details and application forms.
