North West Housing Partnership
Established in 1990, the North West Housing Partnership (NWHP) is dedicated to creating and implementing programs to promote economically diverse housing.
Through a fiscally responsible and multi-faceted approach, North West Housing Partnership promotes public and private partnerships that create and preserve cost-effective quality housing for low to moderate-income residents and workers through housing development and renovation, education, and advocacy.
North West Housing Partnership provides a number of programs and services that are highlighted throughout this website from home rehabilitation, homes for sale to handyman for seniors, home repair for seniors and disabled, and affordable housing for seniors and families. See the NWHP Housing Programs Brochure for more information.

These qualified buyers also will receive $10,000 in down payment or closing cost assistance. In addition, North West Housing Partnership buys, rehabs, and sells homes throughout the northwest suburbs. See the Homes for Sale section for homes that are for sale or will be soon.
Affordable Rental Housing for Seniors 55+
NWHP has developed in partnership with several developers, affordable and market-rate rental housing in several communities in the North West suburbs of Chicago. Visit our affordable developments page for additional information on past, current, or new projects.
NWHP has a “Handyman Program” for those who are 60 years and older and people with disabilities who are 18 or over and in need of simple repairs to their home. This program is provided by the Northwest Suburban Housing Collaborative representing the communities of Arlington Heights, Buffalo Grove, Mt. Prospect, Palatine, and Rolling Meadows. In these same communities, NWHP is starting a special pilot Aging in Place program called CAPABLE (Community Aging in Place Advancing Better Living for Elders). More information can be found for both programs on the Programs page which has the Handyman Program Guidelines, Resource Guide for seniors living in these communities, and other excellent materials for seniors.
NWHP brings together resources to create balanced housing opportunities.
